Donate Vases to Random Acts of Flowers on Sundays Jan. 12 and 19

Donate Vases to Random Acts of Flowers

Resurrection is collecting vases again this year for Random Acts of Flowers of Indianapolis. This organization uses donated flowers and vases to create bouquets which are then delivered to people in local healthcare facilities who might otherwise never receive a visitor. Drop off vases at the table in the church narthex between Sundays Jan. 12 and 19. We will then donate these vases to Random Acts of Flowers of Indianapolis.

Want to do more? Complete the yellow Connect Card in the Sunday bulletin to receive details about participating in an RLC group service day at Random Acts of Flowers in February. This opportunity would be 2-3 hours during a weekday and jobs include vase prep or flower arranging.

More About Random Acts of Flowers

Random Acts of Flowers’ mission is to bring moments of kindness in the form of a beautiful floral bouquet. The recipients’ joy is enough to justify their work, but these deliveries have also been clinically proven to have a positive effect on health and well-being. They strive to recycle 100 percent of the arrangements received, from ribbons, wire and foam, to vases and flowers. The organization is dedicated to keeping floral materials out of the landfills. At the conclusion of Random Acts of Flowers’ recycling and repurposing efforts, the most important thing happens: a patient in an area healthcare facility is delivered a bouquet of flowers and offered encouragement, support and a moment of kindness and compassion.
