Donations for Resurrection’s Hunger Ministries
Food donations are always needed to keep Resurrection’s Breadbox stocked and ready to support our community partners. Resurrection rotates its monthly distribution of packaged and canned food items to the Interchurch Food Panty (serving Johnson County) and Hunger Inc. (serving Perry Township and Beech Grove). Other needs include peanut butter, macaroni and cheese meals, rice dishes, granola bars, cereals, and oatmeal packs.
Each Friday, when Second Helpings delivers the entrée for RLC’s weekly free community meal, they take back with them donated food items for use in future entrées.
Food donations can be placed in Resurrection’s Breadbox on Sundays when you are at church or during parish office hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.). The following food donations are needed to support our community partners:
- Elbow Macaroni
- White Long-grain Rice
- Garlic Powder
- Cooking Oil
Local Food Pantries (Interchurch and Hunger Inc.)
- Canned fruits, vegetables, soups, pasta meals
- Canned meats like tuna or chicken
- Cereal, oatmeal, granola bars
- Non-refrigerated meals like macaroni and cheese, rice and pasta entrées, etc.
- Peanut Butter and Jelly
Your donations to Resurrection’s Breadbox are greatly appreciated by the many people who are nourished by them.
