Help fill the shelves in the Resurrection Breadbox to support the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County. Donations of elbow macaroni, spaghetti, and white long-grain rice are always needed for Second Helpings.
Fall break is fast approaching and the Weekender Backpack Ministry is collecting 16-28 oz. plastic jars of peanut butter to send home with the children for their two-week break in October. Drop off peanut butter in the Breadbox through Sunday, Oct. 2.
Resurrection’s Children’s Choir for students in grades 2-5 begins rehearsals in the choir room on Wednesdays from 5-5:45 p.m. starting Sep. 28. The Children’s Choir sing and/or play instruments in worship once per month.
Resurrection’s annual Trunk or Treat is Sunday, Oct. 30 from 2-4 p.m. No sign-up required to attend event. Help us prepare: doate bags of candy in the designated box in the church narthex and sign-up online to decorate a trunk.

Four of Resurrection’s youth will mark the confirmation faith milestone on Sunday, Sep. 25. Confirmands will share faith stories in Resurrection Hall during Learning Hour at 9:30 a.m. and will participate in the rite of confirmation during the 10:45 a.m. worship service.
Starting Sunday, Sep. 11, Resurrection resumes our Sunday morning schedule with worship at 8:15 & 10:45 a.m. and Learning Hour starting at 9:30 a.m. Free nursery care is available.
Sunday, Aug. 21, 11:15 a.m.: Resurrection will have a special congregation meeting to elect a call committee for a part-time associate pastor. Those unable to attend in person may join the meeting via Zoom.
Resurrection’s men’s softball team is looking for new players to join the team for the Fall season. The team plays Monday evenings in Greenwood. Email Nate Garrett or contact the church office if interested.
As we prepare to start a new program year, please take a moment to register your child or youth to participate in children’s and youth ministry programming during the 2022-2023 school year to ensure Resurrection has updated contact information and the necessary permission forms for church-related activities.
