RLC is forming a publication team to help develop, steer, curate, and produce our new quarterly publication highlighting RLC people and ministries at work within our congregation and community. Share your gifts and help create something new!
First Communion instruction will be offered at 6 p.m. on Wednesday evenings during Lent (March 4 – April 1) and participating students receive first communion Maundy Thursday, April 9 at 7 p.m.
Starting Sunday, Feb. 23, illustrated Lent devotion books will be available in the church narthex for households and families to take home and use during the Lenten season.
Resurrection has a long tradition of Vibrant, Liturgical Worship – it is one of our Core Values. We are excited to welcome our new organist, David Duncan, to RLC’s staff as he helps us continue and grow that tradition. David will begin Sunday, Feb. 9.
Support RLC’s Youth Summer Pilgrimage to the Ozarks and order pizza online by Thursday, Feb. 6. Pizzas will be ready for pick-up on Sunday, Feb. 9 after each worship service.
Donations to RLC’s Food Pantry Ministry in February go to Emmaus Lutheran Church, serving families in the area southeast of Fountain Square. Donate and drop off suggested items in RLC’s Breadbox outside of Resurrection Hall.
Every first and third Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m. in Room 9, no sign up needed, just come and pray with the group. The current focus of the group is to support the RLC community, ministries, leaders, and staff with intentional prayer.
Resurrection is collecting vases again this year for Random Acts of Flowers of Indianapolis. Drop off vases at the table in the church narthex between Sundays Jan. 12 and 19.
Donations in January will be given to IPS Eleanor Skillen School #34 food pantry. The school helps 25 families once a month with a box of food. Please donate and drop off suggested items in RLC’s Breadbox outside of Resurrection Hall.
The Congregation Council voted unanimously to extend an offer of employment to Victoria Hoppes as our Director of Youth & Children’s Ministries. Victoria accepted with enthusiasm and begins her ministry among us Monday, Jan. 6.
