Camp is a transformational experience, and we strongly encourage the camp experience throughout a child’s life. Our congregation has access to three camps that are owned and operated by the Indiana-Kentucky Synod of the ELCA. The most popular camp for the younger children is Lutheran Hills, located near Bean Blossom, Indiana (less than an hour from RLC). Past participants have acknowledged summer camp is one of their best memories during their years of growing up. It is an opportunity to deepen one’s faith and friendships within the church.
Children’s Day – Open House
Never been to camp before? Each year, Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod offers a day for the whole family with all the fun stuff of camp packed into one Saturday – at no cost! Come and see what camp is all about. Meet the camp counselors – check out where you’ll be living – see what you’ll be doing.
