RLC’s Weekender Backpack Ministry Team is asking for food donations to help fill the weekly bags sent home with over 300 children living with food insecurities. The food we send home helps bridge the gap between lunch at school on Friday and breakfast at school on Monday morning.
Food donations in August will be given to Emmaus Lutheran Church in Fountain Square. They serve the families in the area southeast of Fountain Square.
Donations in July will be given to IPS Eleanor Skillen School #34 food pantry. The school helps 25 families once a month with a box of food which includes canned vegetables, cereal, pasta sauce & pasta, soup, toilet tissue, soap, peanut butter & jelly, eggs, milk and bread.
Food donations in June will be given to Hunger Inc. in Perry Township. Hunger Inc. is open twice a week, helping individuals and families who are food challenged.
Food donations in May will be given to Emmaus Lutheran Church in Fountain Square. They serve the families in the area southeast of Fountain Square.

Help send holiday cheer to the 309 kids served by our Weekender Backpack Food Ministry. This year we will give each kid a decorated bag including cards of prayers or well wishes, a “gift card” for them to use to order books at school and a fun pencil or eraser.
