In preparation for the return of regular children’s and youth ministry programming in September, we need additional teachers and mentors to work with our young people during the 2026-27 program year. A variety of opportunities to teach and mentor are available. Training, curriculum, and supplies provided. Contact Victoria Hoppes for details.

Resurrection’s Breadbox needs your donations this July to help refill the shelves and support Hunger, Inc., a nearby pantry serving Perry Township and Beech Grove. Resurrection rotates donations from the Breadbox between Hunger, Inc. and Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County. Hunger, Inc. requests the following food items:

• Canned meats: chicken, beef, pork, tuna, Spam, etc.
• Cereal (no Cornflakes)
• Dry packaged rice/noodle meals like Knorr
• Dry mashed potatoes (Hungry Jack, etc.)
• Pancake mix and syrup
• Cake mixes and can frosting
• Diapers for infants and toddlers

Resurrection is also always collecting donations for Second Helpings of these food items for use in future meals:

• Elbow Macaroni
• Spaghetti
• White Long-grain Rice

16 oz. plastic jars of peanut butter are always needed for our Weekender Backpack Ministry.

This summer, help Resurrection provide coffee and hospitality on Sunday mornings! Donate cookies or bring boxes of crackers and cheese slices – just drop-off labeled donations in the church kitchen and we’ll freeze/store until needed! Or sign up online for the Sunday(s) where you can help. Clean-up is simple and does not involve the coffee clean-up.

• Sundays May 24 through Sep. 6: If bringing or arranging refreshments, please have available in the small café off the narthex by 9:30 a.m. Clean-up should be completed after the 10 a.m. worship service.

Note: Napkins, plates, and serving tongs are available at the church. Powdered sugar items are best avoided as there is additional clean-up.

Help Resurrection care for our neighbors. When neighbors visit the church office seeking financial assistance, we offer gas and grocery gift cards through our Caring Neighbor fund. This fund is currently empty, and requests are anticipated to increase. To give to this fund, simply note “Caring Neighbor” on your check or envelope, or select it from the online giving drop-down menu.
