The Reverend Ryan Bailey

Lead Pastor

The Rev. Ryan Bailey is a native of Parke County, Indiana and has served at Resurrection since 2018. He has been Lead Pastor since 2022. Prior to moving to Indianapolis, he served churches in Iowa and northern Indiana. Initially ordained as an American Baptist, he holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California and has completed coursework at Wartburg Theological Seminary and Luther Seminary. He recently served two terms on the Synod Council of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod of the ELCA and currently serves on a synod task force for LGBTQIA+ advocacy. He also serves as secretary on the board of Grace Unlimited, the Lutheran-Episcopal campus ministry at Butler University.

Director of Youth & Children's Ministries

Victoria Hoppes is the Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries, overseeing programs for children and youth, ages birth through twelfth grade, and their families. She has over 15 years experience in congregational, denominational, and camping ministry settings in ELCA and Episcopal churches. She holds a BA in Dramatic Media and Theology from Texas Lutheran University and an MA in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry from Luther Seminary. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, baking, and hiking.

Worship & Music Lead

Laura Mueller is a lifelong Lutheran and member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. She began singing in church choirs at the age of four under the direction of Sherry Andersen. Laura attended Valparaiso University (Valpo), majoring in Music Education, while also receiving an excellent education in Lutheran church music and liturgy. While at Valpo, Laura sang under renowned Lutheran choral conductor, Dr. Christopher Cock, and studied voice with Maura Janton Cock. Laura taught K-5 General Music in Franklin Township for five years upon graduating college. In 2011, Laura began taking on more choral directing responsibilities at RLC, eventually taking over the position of Music and Worship Lead and serving as Cantor. She is married to Chris Mueller, with whom she has three children: Charlie, Henry, and Teddie.

Voice & Handbells Choirs Director

Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in Voice from Butler University and a master’s degree of Music: Voice from Indiana University. An experienced performer, she has appeared in opera roles and concerts in Italy, Chicago, and beyond. Rebecca taught at Martin University and the University of Indianapolis and spent 28 years teaching music in public schools. She currently is the Director of Voice and Handbells Choirs at RLC, with previous roles at Friedens United Church of Christ and Mooresville Methodist Church. She also currently directs choirs at Perry Meridian schools and teaches private voice to many singers, many of whom have gone on to careers, scholarships, and competitions. Her greatest joy is being a mother of three sons and wife to Larry.

David Duncan has worked with many of the finest musical organizations in the Indianapolis area including The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and The Great American Songbook High School Vocal Competition with Michael Feinstein. David has also done extensive work as a pianist/conductor for many local theater companies including the Indiana Repertory Theater, Actor’s Theater of Indiana, Civic Theater, Beef and Boards Dinner Theater, and the Bose Lyric Theater at Anderson University. He is currently Keyboard Artist/Choral Arranger for the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and Staff Accompanist/Choral Arranger at Franklin Central High School.
