Resurrection rotates donations from the Breadbox between Hunger, Inc. and Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County.
RLC member, Scott Poore, and his Thrivent team are hosting an outdoor paper shredding event at RLC Saturday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m – noon to benefit RLC’s Weekender Backpack Ministry. Includes free onsite shredding, refreshments, and a chance to win a Thrivent Action Team gift card. Please bring a donation of 16 oz. jars of peanut butter.

The first Weekender Backpack Ministry packing was on Wednesday, Aug. 18. Join us for our next packing event at Resurrection on Wednesday, Sep. 8 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the education hallway facing Perry Park.

Resurrection’s Mission Endowment Fund has again helped Resurrection live into the Core Value of Being Christ within Our Community by providing a grant to the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County.
RLC’s Weekender Backpack Ministry continues packing food – and hope – this spring! Along with the usual spring break food bags containing extra food, the Weekender team was also able to prepare and send special Easter bags home with students prior to the beginning of spring break.
