Evening Prayer to Commemorate the Emanuel Nine
We will gather outdoors at the church for a brief service of Evening Prayer on Wednesday, June 17 at 7 p.m. to commemorate the Emanuel Nine, who were shot and killed during a Bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, 2015.
The 2019 Churchwide Assembly of the ELCA added this as an annual commemoration on our calendar along with many other saints and martyrs.
If you plan to come, please bring your own chair, wear a mask, and observe proper distancing at all times.
