Serving from Giftedness
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus told his followers that they were the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world.” To be salt and light means to put our faith into action. We do this whenever we help address the hurts and hopes in peoples’ lives by helping them to catch a glimpse of God’s love.
It is our desire at Resurrection to help every person who comes through our doors to better understand their vocation – their calling from God – and how God has already SHAPEd them to fulfill that vocation in the various venues life. It is by understanding how God has SHAPEd us through spiritual gifts, heart/passion, abilities, personality, and experiences that we begin to understand just how we can be salt and light in the world.
Ministry teams that work within the walls of Resurrection serve to enhance worship, care for members of the congregation, and manage the congregation’s resources to support it’s mission.
Many Resurrection disciples contribute their time and talents to countless organizations, public service agencies and ministries on the south side and greater Indianapolis community.
Resurrection is a congregation that values our partnership and connection with ministries that reach far beyond our immediate neighborhoods into communities across the country and across the world.
