Two-Part: Jesus and the Other Messiahs of His Day

Sundays April 21 & 28, 9:30 a.m. in Resurrection Hall: We confess Jesus is the “Christ” or “Messiah.” But he was not the only one called “Messiah” in his time. In this two-part series, we’ll explore other messiah movements in first-century Judaism and ask what is similar and different with Jesus of Nazareth, allowing historical study to strengthen, inform, and deepen our confession that Jesus is the Christ.
