Short Stories by Jesus: Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi Bible Study on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. from Sep. 15 - Oct. 27 at Resurrection Lutheran Church

Short Stories by Jesus, The Parables of a Controversial Rabbi

Sundays at 9:30 a.m., Sep. 15–22; Oct. 6–20 in Resurrection Hall: Jesus, an effective rabbi and a teacher with the gift of storytelling, consistently used parables to convey his message to first century followers. In this Bible study, author Amy-Jill Levine, a New Testament and Jewish Studies scholar, takes us back in time to hear parables both as the original Jewish audience heard them and as stories that challenge us to live as Jesus taught. Guides are available from Amazon for $10/ea. This study is flexible, so attend sessions as you can.
