Local Impact of Resurrection’s Christ in the Community Budget
Each year, Resurrection’s Christ in the Community budget includes funds to support our partnership with Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA). One of our biggest events is an annual Cultural Fair at DMKA which couldn’t happen last school year due to the pandemic. Those unused funds were still able to make a big impact in our community.
Resurrection used some of the funds to help DMKA classroom teachers purchase supplies for their students to offset what they spend from their own money. Resurrection also purchased classroom furniture for local non-profit, Hope for Tomorrow, to use in their after-school second grade classroom. Hope for Tomorrow is an organization that provides after school tutoring for local Chin/Burmese children. Hope for Tomorrow has partnered with Resurrection by hosting an activity each year at the DMKA Cultural Fair.
Thank you, Resurrection people, for the generosity that allows this type of investment into our community!
