Fun was had by all at Resurrection’s annual serving day on Tuesday, May 10 at Random Acts of Flowers! The group helped create 80 flower arrangements to be delivered to patients at a local healthcare facility. Resurrection also sponsored the flower cards for the week.
Another successful school year comes to an end for Resurrection’s Weekender Backpack Ministry. Some of Resurrection’s young people gathered during Learning Hour on Sunday, May 8 to pack the last week of sacks. Over 11,000 sacks of food and 960 jars of peanut butter have been distributed this school year—a record for this ministry!

Resurrection will proudly staff a booth at the Greenwood Pride Festival on Saturday, June 4 and then carry an affirming message in the Indy Pride Parade on Saturday, June 11. A planning team is forming now to design a t-shirt and banner, arrange giveaways, organize participants, etc.

Sign-up for a Friday during Lent to experience what serving at a free Friday community meal is like. On your selected Friday, a team member will provide a tour of all the tasks involved in the weekly meal. Try out a task by shadowing a team member or just take the tour and enjoy the meal with our guests.
Resurrection joined efforts with Perry Township Schools and Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA) to help students, their families, and other residents at the Capital Place apartment complex after water was shut off to the complex.
