The need for Resurrection’s Weekend Backpack Ministry continues to grow as we anticipate providing easy-to-access/prepare food for 400+ children. Help pack meals with Weekender Backpack Ministry every other Wednesday at 6 p.m. in rooms 5 and 6, continuing March 15.
Team up with Lutheran Hills for a first-ever Summer Prep Extravaganza all day Saturday, April 29. During this retreat/workday event, help prepare camp for summer ministry with a variety of projects for all ages and skill levels. RSVP for this free event by Friday, April 21.
Help fill the shelves in the Resurrection Breadbox to support Hunger, Inc., a nearby pantry serving Perry Township and Beech Grove. Donations of elbow macaroni, spaghetti, and white long-grain rice are always needed for Second Helpings.
Resurrection’s Weekender Backpack Ministry is collecting 16 oz. plastic jars of peanut butter to send home with 350+ students over spring break. Drop off peanut butter in the Breadbox by Wednesday, March 15.
Resurrection is collecting vases for Random Acts of Flowers of Indianapolis for use in creating and delivering bouquets to people in local healthcare facilities who might otherwise never receive a visitor. Drop off vase donations at Resurrection by Saturday, March 4.
New volunteers are needed to help support this important ministry for the first and second Friday of each month. One or two additional people are needed to help support months with a fifth Friday (quarterly).
If you are interested in providing some treats between Sunday worship services or in helping with clean-up, sign-up online for the Sunday(s) you would like to help with.
