Resurrection’s next workday with Habitat for Humanity is Wednesday, July 20 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. We are helping to raise the walls of a home on the near northwest side of Indianapolis. Register for the workday by Friday, July 1.
Thanks to all who helped with VBS decorating on Saturdays May 7 and 21! Watch as the church transforms into a desert landscape over the next few weeks! We’re looking for extra hands to help with larger set builds on Wednesday-Friday, June 1-3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. We need as many hands as possible!
Sunday morning snacks are back! If you are interested in providing some treats between Sunday worship services or in helping with clean-up, sign-up online for the Sunday(s) you would like to help with.
Fun was had by all at Resurrection’s annual serving day on Tuesday, May 10 at Random Acts of Flowers! The group helped create 80 flower arrangements to be delivered to patients at a local healthcare facility. Resurrection also sponsored the flower cards for the week.
Another successful school year comes to an end for Resurrection’s Weekender Backpack Ministry. Some of Resurrection’s young people gathered during Learning Hour on Sunday, May 8 to pack the last week of sacks. Over 11,000 sacks of food and 960 jars of peanut butter have been distributed this school year—a record for this ministry!
Saturdays May 7 and 21 from 9 a.m. – noon: Help turn Resurrection into a southwestern desert for Monumental Vacation Bible School! We have a variety of projects available for all age and skill levels, and all materials are provided.
Resurrection will proudly staff a booth at the Greenwood Pride Festival on Saturday, June 4 and then carry an affirming message in the Indy Pride Parade on Saturday, June 11. A planning team is forming now to design a t-shirt and banner, arrange giveaways, organize participants, etc.
