Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec. 24: Worship in-person at 5 or 7 p.m. Both worship services include Holy Communion and the traditional singing of Silent Night by candlelight. The nursery will be available for the 5 p.m. service. A livestream at 7 p.m. will be available at rlcindy.org/live.

Thursday, Dec. 7: The O.W.L.s (Older Wiser Lutherans) are having lunch at 11:30 a.m. at The Willard (99 N Main St, Franklin, IN), followed by a free movie showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the Artcraft Theater (57 N Main St, Franklin, IN). Contact Liz Harnack to participate.
Thursday, Dec. 21, 7 p.m. The holidays are not the most wonderful time of the year for everyone and can bring a mixed bag of emotions. This quiet, contemplative worship service offers sacred space for those who wish to mark the coming of Christ in a quieter, more contemplative way.
Give back this Advent season with Resurrection’s Sharing Wreath! The Sharing Wreath will provide gifts for 36 children from 14 families at Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy. Please wrap gifts, label with the family and child information, and return to church by Sunday, Dec. 10.
All kids, kindergarten through fifth grade, come enjoy Christmas fun with Kids Club at uPaint Pottery Studio (3113 W Smith Valley Rd D, Greenwood) on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2:30 p.m. Each kid will paint a Christmas ornament, and we’ll also have snacks and fellowship time. Please RSVP to help us plan.
Thursday, Dec. 7, 6 p.m. Good friends and good cheer, it’s that special time of the year! Resurrection’s Mom’s Group Mom Squad is heading to Shallo’s Restaurant (8811 Hardegan Street, Indianapolis) for a fun night out to celebrate the season together. RSVP by emailing Katelyn Beeson by Monday, Dec. 4.
Resurrection celebrates nine consecutive years of serving free Friday Community Meals! For the upcoming holiday season, we are collecting $5 or $10 gift cards and small non-perishable gift items/snacks to create 45+ gift bags for our guests.
Donate red poinsettias to adorn Resurrection’s sanctuary and narthex this Christmas. Order poinsettia plants (6.5-inch pot with foil cover) for $8 each and/or poinsettia planters (smaller potted poinsettia with ivy and philodendron) for $21 each by Sunday, Nov. 5.
