Resurrection joined efforts with Perry Township Schools and Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA) to help students, their families, and other residents at the Capital Place apartment complex after water was shut off to the complex.

Each year Resurrection’s Christ in the Community budget includes funds to support our partnership with Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy. The funds were used to help DMKA classroom teachers purchase supplies for their students and to also purchase classroom furniture for local non-profit, Hope for Tomorrow, to use in their after-school second grade classroom.
The knit/crochet group will meet on Saturday, April 24 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Resurrection Hall. Help us make hats for students at Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy.
After Resurrection’s Weekender food ministry was abruptly put on hold due to COVID-19, we were able to supplement food supplies by packing and delivering the remaining Weekender food inventory to be given to families in need on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1.

The Knit/Crochet Group will not meet on Saturday, Sept. 14. Throughout September, we will continue making hats for students at Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy. We will resume gathering together on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m.
The staff of Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA) are hosting an open house for Resurrection people on Sunday, Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. – noon as a way to say “thank you” for our partnership.
Help new kindergartners at Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA) by serving at one of the school’s upcoming activities. Volunteers are needed in a variety of ways when a new school year begins at DMKA. Visit the table in the narthex for details and sign-ups on Sundays July 7 through July 21.
