Food donations are always needed to keep Resurrection’s Breadbox stocked and ready to support our community partners. Resurrection rotates its monthly distribution of packaged and canned food items to the Interchurch Food Panty, Hunger Inc. and Second Helpings.
Help Resurrection’s Youth Group offset the costs of their summer service trip in Atlanta, GA and Indianapolis. Send a porch drop package to local friends and family – assembled and delivered by Youth Group members! $10 or $15 options available – order by Sunday, April 18.
RLC’s Weekender Backpack Ministry continues packing food – and hope – this spring! Along with the usual spring break food bags containing extra food, the Weekender team was also able to prepare and send special Easter bags home with students prior to the beginning of spring break.
For 2020, there are two ways to choose gift tags from RLC’s Sharing Wreath for much needed items for Perry Township families: Select tags from our physical wreath in the church narthex, or use our virtual wreath to make your selections! Wrap and drop off the item(s) you select by Monday, Dec. 14.
It’s the time of year when we reflect on our blessings, and many Lutheran congregations collect a special Thankoffering to support the work of the Women of the ELCA (WELCA). Please consider making a donation, large or small, to WELCA, in thanksgiving to God, by Sunday, Dec. 6.
Second Helpings, a long-time partner of Resurrection and RLC’s Friday Community Meals, is looking for volunteers and pasta donations. Learn how you can become a volunteer and how you can donate pasta during November.
The next congregation-wide packing event is Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. in Resurrection Hall. Our goal is to pack 1,800 bags to get kids through Christmas break! Help the team cover longer holiday breaks by purchasing items from the team’s Amazon wishlist.
Donate supplies and signup to serve at Perry Township Schools annual SHARE event on Saturday, July 25 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Due to the impact of COVID-19, even more families are expected to need help with school supplies.
Resurrection Lutheran Church has established a special fund called Caring for Our Neighbors to address the needs in our community due to COVID-19. This effort is in addition to our ongoing food ministry.
Due to COVID-19, RLC’s Food Pantry ministry is not currently collecting donations. We encourage you to support the work of our local hunger partners, dedicated to addressing hunger needs throughout Indianapolis.
