Help new kindergartners at Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA) by serving at one of the school’s upcoming activities. Volunteers are needed in a variety of ways when a new school year begins at DMKA. Visit the table in the narthex for details and sign-ups on Sundays July 7 through July 21.
Calling all kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade! Join the RLC Kids Club at Zip City (6650 Bluff Rd, Indianapolis) on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 2-4 p.m. Wear socks and tennis shoes. Sign up using the yellow Connect Card in the Sunday bulletin and complete the waiver ahead of time.
It takes a lot of people every week to lead and support Resurrection worship services. There are many easy opportunities to get involved and help support worship. We are refreshing our roster of worship leaders with training sessions planned for August.
Gather with us on Sunday, July 28 at 8:15 or 10 a.m. worship for a Blessing of Backpacks and Educators as they prepare for a new school year. Students bring backpacks and place them around the altar for a blessing; educators also receive a blessing during worship.
Resurrection’s WELCA Quiltmakers are meeting Thursdays July 11 & 25 from 10:15 a.m – 4 p.m. and Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Resurrection Hall. All quilters and sewers are welcome!
Donations in July will be given to IPS Eleanor Skillen School #34 food pantry. The school helps 25 families once a month with a box of food which includes canned vegetables, cereal, pasta sauce & pasta, soup, toilet tissue, soap, peanut butter & jelly, eggs, milk and bread.
Saturday, June 22, sixteen RLC Youth high school students flew to Puerto Rico to spend a week helping with ongoing work of hurricane recovery. Group 3 included five youth accompanied by faith mentors Natashia George and Brad Condon.
