RLC Food Pantry Ministry: September Donations

RLC’s Food Pantry Ministry would like to thank all who donate food to our ministries.  As more families are food challenged in our community, our donations are even more important to help support our food pantries and Second Helpings.

Donations to the Food Pantry Ministry in September will be given to Hunger Inc. in Perry Township. Hunger Inc. is open three times a week and helps individuals and families who are food challenged in Perry township and Beech Grove. Long grain white rice will be donated to Second Helpings. Second Helpings  provides meals, prepared at their center, all across Indianapolis. Community centers, churches, homeless shelters and after school programs benefit from their work.

Weekly suggestions for Hunger Inc.:

• Sept. 1:  cereals, juices
• Sept. 8:  toilet paper, toiletries, diapers
• Sept. 15:  canned vegetables and fruits
• Sept. 22:  canned meats and soups
• Sept. 29:  pasta sauce and spaghetti
• Every Week: long grain white rice
