RLC Food Pantry Ministry: January Donations

RLC Food Pantry Ministry: January Donations

RLC’s Food Pantry Ministry thanks all those who donate food to our ministries.  As more families are food challenged in our community, our donations are even more important to help support our food pantries and Second Helpings.

Donations to RLC’s Food Pantry Ministry in January will be given to IPS Eleanor Skillen School #34.  The school helps 25 families once a month with a box of food which includes canned vegetables, cereal, pasta sauce & pasta, soup, toilet tissue, soap, peanut butter & jelly, eggs, milk and bread. It is supported by churches such as Resurrection, families at the school and community donations. Please donate and drop off suggested items in RLC’s Breadbox outside of Resurrection Hall.

Weekly donation suggestions:

  • Jan. 5: canned green beans and corn, canned meats
  • Jan. 12: spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, and jelly
  • Jan. 19: cereals, canned soups
  • Jan. 26: macaroni and cheese dinners
  • Every week: pasta and long grain white rice

Pasta and long grain white rice are donated to Second Helpings, helping to provide meals through community services around the city.

Thank you for your support for this important ministry!
