Camp Atterbury is receiving donations to support our Afghan refugees. Keep in mind that 40% of the evacuees are age 14 and under. Items can be ordered online and shipped directly to Camp Atterbury through the Team Rubicon Amazon Wishlist. Or, drop off items at the National Guard armory at the Kessler-Moore Readiness Center (2625 W. Kessler Blvd. North Dr, Indianapolis). Monetary donations can be made to Team Rubicon  or the American Red Cross.

Most need items:

  • Men’s and women’s unbranded, modest clothes such as long sleeve t-shirts, underwear, pants, and jackets in sizes small to large. No shorts or tank tops.
  • Children’s clothing, including baby and newborn clothes, hats, and socks
  • Powdered baby formula
  • Socks, hats, shoes, and slide-on sandals (no flip flops) for evacuees of all ages

Please note: Only new items in original packaging are accepted at this time. According to Governor Holcomb’s statement on Saturday, Sept. 18, the above items are identified as needed the most.
