Experience Service with Community Meals
Try something new this Lenten season! Lent is the perfect time to focus our attention on the life-giving love of Christ and on service to others. Resurrection has served the community inside and outside our walls by hosting a free community meal in Resurrection Hall every Friday non-stop for over seven years. Resurrection’s Community Meals Team invites you to experience what serving at a free Friday meal is like. This is a perfect activity for all ages and families.
Sign-up for a Friday during Lent and you will be contacted to arrange a time on that day that is best for your schedule. The meal runs 5:30-7 p.m. with preparations starting around 4 p.m. On your selected Friday, a team member will provide a tour of all the tasks involved in the weekly meal. Try out a task by shadowing a team member or just take the tour and enjoy the meal with our guests—maybe even play some Bingo if you visit on March 25.
