Second Helpings: Volunteer and Donate Pasta

Second Helpings, a long-time partner of Resurrection and RLC’s Friday Community Meals, is looking for volunteers and pasta donations. 

Volunteer

National Guard members have been working alongside volunteers to meet increased demand during Covid-19. The Guard will complete their assignment at the end of November so Second Helping needs more volunteers to fill the gap. There are a variety of jobs and shifts (daytime and evening) available. Training is currently conducted via Zoom with no obligation. After training is complete, sign-up online for a shift based on your availability. Safety is a top priority at Second Helpings—all jobs are organized based on social distancing standards and masks are required.

Donate Pasta

Second Helpings is low on pasta! Resurrection is collecting pasta donations throughout the month of November. Place pasta donations (bite-sized like elbow macaroni is preferred) on the rolling cart in the church narthex when attending mid-week or Sunday worship services, or contact the parish office to arrange a drop off time.
