During the season of Lent, gather with Resurrection for the much-loved Holden Evening Prayer on Wednesday evenings in March at 7 p.m. from Feb. 25 to March 25. Come early for a simple soup supper in Resurrection Hall starting at 5:45 p.m. Sign-up to help.
There is no better way for us to celebrate the gift of new life than by being together! Worship with Resurrection on Easter Sunday, April 5 at 8:15 or 10:45 a.m. and enjoy our Easter Breakfast from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in Resurrection Hall.
Saturday, April 4: Enhance your celebration of the Resurrection by participating in the ancient tradition of the Easter Vigil. We’ll gather in darkness at 9 p.m. to light a new fire, hear of God’s saving acts throughout history, and renew our baptisms.
Friday, April 3, 7 p.m. worship: On Good Friday, our focus shifts to the cross as we remember Jesus’ death – and also his victory over sin and death. Worship concludes with the invitation to remain as long as desired for prayer around the cross.
Thursday, April 2, 7 p.m. worship: Taking its name from the Latin word for “commandment”, Maundy Thursday remembers the night our Lord instituted Holy Communion, knelt to wash his disciples’ feet, and gave us the new commandment to love one another.
Sunday, March 29, 8:15 & 10:45 a.m. worship: On Palm Sunday, we shout ‘Hosanna!’, wave palm fronds, and remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. Watch a livestream at 10:45 a.m. via rlcindy.org/live.
Due to projected severe weather conditions, Resurrection has canceled 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. worship services and evening youth activities on Sunday, Jan. 25. Lent begins with Ash Wednesday worship on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. Worship includes Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes for those who desire it. Continue with us throughout Lent with simple soup suppers on Wednesday evenings followed by Holden Evening Prayer at 7 p.m.
