Help provide hospitality and facilitate fellowship with Resurrection’s FaithBuilders and Youth Group (middle and high school) by signing up to sponsor a dinner for one of our Sunday night meetings. Dinner sponsors prepare the food (menus are provided), serve, and clean up after the meal.
Sunday, Sep. 7, 9:30 a.m. in Resurrection Hall: The Churchwide Assembly of the ELCA meets every three years and Pastor Ryan traveled to Phoenix to volunteer at this year’s assembly. He will share some about his experiences there, but mostly about important decisions made to guide the life of our church.
Indiana University (IU) Lutheran Campus Ministry’s “Rose House” is collecting donations for the upcoming school year. Member Chris Osborne will collect donations on Sunday, Aug. 17 after 10 a.m. worship for delivery to Bloomington.
Sunday, Aug. 24, 5:30-7 p.m. Youth in grades 6-12 and their families are invited to come reconnect with a pitch-in at Resurrection as we kick off FaithBuilders and Youth Group and learn about what’s in store this year. RLC is providing a hotdog bar and drinks; sign up to bring a side dish or dessert.
Resurrection is offering an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training course in September. This is a blended learning course with participants completing an online class prior to one in-person skill session at Resurrection on Tuesday, Sep. 9 from 6-8 p.m. Email Victoria to sign up by Tuesday, Aug. 26.
Sunday, Aug. 10, 4-6 p.m. Youngest Friends Club and Kids Club (birth-5th grade) and their families: Celebrate the end of summer with your Resurrection friends with a picnic at Northwest Park in Greenwood – meet at the brown shelter.
Mark the start of the 2025-26 school year with a Back-to-School Blessing at Resurrection during worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3. Students of all ages, educators, and school staff are invited to come and receive a blessing.
In preparation for the return of our learning hour in September, we need additional teachers and mentors to work with our young people during the 2025-26 program year. We are specifically looking for adults to co-teach and/or occasionally serve as substitutes on Sunday mornings.
See photos from our Youth Group’s trip to Two Harbors, MN! We’ve had a great trip filled with service activities, scenic landmarks, local food, and so much more including packing 40 hygiene kits. Our group has grown closer, worked hard, and experienced God’s beauty in nature and community.
This summer, help Resurrection provide hospitality on Sunday mornings! Bake cookies in advance or bring boxes of crackers and cheese slices – just drop-off labeled donations in the church kitchen and we’ll freeze/store until needed!
