RLC is planning a youth group service trip for summer 2021. “Walk, Love, Serve” invites youth and mentors to engage in anti-racism learning, service, and faith formation. High school students & families are invited to a Zoom info session Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. to learn more.

Sign-up by Thursday, Oct. 8 to help provide a meal for Midwest Food Bank on Thursday, Oct. 15. Volunteers are needed to provide food (lasagna, salad, bread, and cookies) which can be delivered to Midwest Food Bank on Thursday, Oct. 15 between 10-10:30 a.m.

Resurrection’s FaithBuilders and Youth Group begin regular every other week gatherings starting Sunday, Sep. 13. Gathering on Zoom for our first meeting, FaithBuilders (grades 6-8) meets from 5-6:15 p.m., and the Youth Group (grades 9-12) meets from 6-7:15 p.m.

Come hike Eagle Creek Park with RLC’s Hiking Group on Saturday, Aug. 29. We will meet at 8 a.m. at the Marina parking lot (7602 Walnut Point Rd, Indianapolis, IN). Masks are required if in close proximity, we will maintain physical distancing throughout the hike, and there is a park entrance fee.

Pastor Ryan is leading a discussion of the book “I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness” by Austin Channing Brown. There are two Zoom options offered: Sundays at 10:30 a.m. or Mondays at 6 p.m. Discussions begin July 12 and 13.

RLC’s Hiking Group’s next hike is at Morgan-Monroe State Forest (6220 Forest Rd, Martinsville, IN) on Saturday, July 18. We will meet at 9 a.m. at the shelter on Main Forest Road, just south of Bean Blossom Road.

We will gather outdoors at the church for a brief service of Evening Prayer on Wednesday, June 17 at 7 p.m. to commemorate the Emanuel Nine, who were shot and killed during a Bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, 2015.
