Resurrection’s Breadbox needs your donations to help restock the shelves and support the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County. Donations of elbow macaroni, spaghetti, and white long-grain rice are always needed for Second Helpings.
Give back this season with RLC’s Christmas Sharing Wreath! Last year, RLC provided 67 clothing gifts to 35 children from 12 Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA) families. This year, select tags from the wreath in the church narthex starting Sunday, Nov. 23 and return wrapped gifts by Sunday, Dec. 14.
Help RLC care for our neighbors. When neighbors visit the church office seeking financial assistance, we offer gas and grocery gift cards through our Caring Neighbor fund. To give to this fund, simply note “Caring Neighbor” on your check or envelope, or select it from the online giving drop-down menu.
Donate red poinsettias, $10/each, to adorn Resurrection’s sanctuary and narthex this Christmas. Poinsettias can be ordered in memory or in honor of someone. Order in the church narthex or online by Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Resurrection’s annual Trunk or Treat is Sunday, Oct. 26 from 3-5 p.m. No sign-up required to attend event. Help us prepare: donate bags of treats in the church narthex collection box and sign-up online to decorate a trunk.
Indiana University (IU) Lutheran Campus Ministry’s “Rose House” is collecting donations for the upcoming school year. Member Chris Osborne will collect donations on Sunday, Aug. 17 after 10 a.m. worship for delivery to Bloomington.
Help us collect needed food and program items for True North VBS! Pick up a food or item donation tag from the board in the church narthex and return items by the date on the tag. Thanks for helping us make VBS a summer success for the kids in our congregation and community!
Help decorate the Resurrection sanctuary with flowers this Easter! To donate flowers, sign-up online or in the church narthex by Friday, March 21. Flowers are potted and are yours to keep after Easter Sunday.
Will you use up rolls of wrapping paper during this holiday season? If so, bring the empty tubes to church! We are collecting large cardboard tubes for use in our children’s ministry programming during 2025. Donations can be dropped off at the church office (large/long tubes only, please).
Resurrection is collecting clear glass vases 12-16 inches in height for Random Acts of Flowers of Indianapolis for use in creating and delivering bouquets to people in assisted living, nursing homes, and local hospitals. Drop off vase donations in the church narthex collection box by Sunday, March 17.
