This December, Resurrection’s Breadbox needs your donations to help restock the shelves and support the Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County. Donations of elbow macaroni, spaghetti, and white long-grain rice are always needed for Second Helpings.
Give back this season! Last year, RLC provided 75 clothing gifts to 39 children from 15 Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy (DMKA) families. This year, donate time and contact Liz Klimes if you can help create tags (week of Nov. 18), track tag selections on Sundays (Nov. 24, Dec. 1 & 8), and/or organize/deliver gifts for DMKA (Dec. 15 & 16).
Will you use up rolls of wrapping paper during this holiday season? If so, bring the empty tubes to church! We are collecting large cardboard tubes for use in our children’s ministry programming during 2025. Donations can be dropped off at the church office (large/long tubes only, please).
Donate red poinsettias, $10/ea, to adorn Resurrection’s sanctuary and narthex this Christmas. Poinsettias can be ordered in memory or in honor of someone. Order in the church narthex or online by Sunday, Nov. 17.
Resurrection’s annual Trunk or Treat is Sunday, Oct. 27 from 3-5 p.m. No sign-up required to attend event. Help us prepare: donate bags of candy in the church narthex collection box and sign-up online to decorate a trunk.
Help us collect needed food and program items for Scuba VBS by food donation tag from the board in the church narthex or purchasing items from our Amazon wish list! Thanks for helping us make a splash this summer with kids in our congregation and community!
Sponsor Resurrection’s Youth Group trip to the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer! Stop by the narthex display board and choose sponsor tags for food, items, and experiences for our trip. Sponsors receive regular trip updates, a postcard from New Orleans, and more!
Help decorate the Resurrection sanctuary with flowers this Easter! To donate flowers, sign-up online or in the church narthex by Sunday, March 3. Flowers are potted and are yours to keep after Easter Sunday.
Resurrection is collecting clear glass vases 12-16 inches in height for Random Acts of Flowers of Indianapolis for use in creating and delivering bouquets to people in assisted living, nursing homes, and local hospitals. Drop off vase donations in the church narthex collection box by Sunday, March 17.
School Uniform Supplies Needed: The clinic at Douglas MacArthur Kindergarten Academy keeps extra uniform supplies on hand to give to students in need. They would appreciate donations of pants in sizes 5, 6, and 7. Drop donations at the church office.
